In the past few years I have been making works for specific destinations. This started quite naturally with my sculptures for the Bosco della Ragnaia in San Giovanni d’Asso. The themes of the oversized vases and undersized sculptures had much to do with Sheppard Craige’s vision for the park, its legends, humor and philosophy.

What follows is a selection of photographs showing the final result of a project: sketches and dialogue. Several of the sculptures borrow the notion of furniture although function is not a primary concern. Etruscan artifacts found in the hills surrounding my home are a source of inspiration. At the same time, each piece reflects the particular desires and imagination of their future possessor.
